This Silent Forest’s introduction to the Song A Day challenge
This Silent Forest, “a singer songwriter led six piece with one foot in modern Scottish folk and the other in joyous pop” are writing one song a day for a month, which is pretty fun. The songs are going to be uploaded here onto their YouTube channel; they’re planning to collaborate with other artists and record each song at a different location in Scotland. But the really exciting bit is this: everyone who contributes to the songs, either by commenting on the videos or tweeting, will be directly influencing the next song. Christ knows what they’ll do if a load of people suggest a black metal number.
I waited a couple of days to pop this up, but the first track is below.
