Scottish BAMS 2011

So on my own end-of-year favourite albums list I mentioned the Scottish Bloggers and Music Sites award, which my fellow blogger Peenko organises and awards each year. The award is gained via consensus from the writers asked, and the top ten is worked out (I presume) by aggregating the scores given by everyone involved.

My end of year list is here. Peenko’s blogpost on the award is here though the final list is below:

10-8. Moth & The MirrorHonestly, This World // PJ Harvey Let England Shake // FOUNDFactorycraft

7-6. Conquering Animal SoundKammerspiel // The Son(s)The Son(s)

5. King Creosote & Jon HopkinsDiamond Mine

4-3. Mike NisbetVagrant // Bon IverBon Iver

2. Adam StaffordBuild A Harbour Immediately

1. Bill Wells & Aidan Moffat Everything’s Getting Older. There’s an interview with the winners, done just before they went on stage; it’s on the same post as the main list. Take a look!

Bear in mind I was picking strictly Scottish (Scotch) artists. Here are the albums I nominated:

Douglas FirsHappy As A Windless Flag, Edinburgh School for The DeafNew Youth Bible, The Stormy SeasOf Rust And Loss.
