Darjeeling

I need help, guys. I want to make a playlist about tea. I love tea, and I don’t have an explicit playlist dedicated to the making, procuring, drinking and enjoyment of tea. We can change this.

So far, I’ve only collected three tracks. Usually I’m better at this sort of thing. But we can make it through together. So pop your suggestions in the comment box or email me or use Twitter or whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

So I picked Tea For The Tillerman because it’s a really nice song; it’s a good pole position, seeing as it opens Cat Stevens’ album of the same name. Apologies for the weirdo video…

I chose Sea Lion Woman by Feist for the lyric “she don’t like coffee/she drink tea”. A bit tenuous, I guess, but I really like Feist at the moment and she played this when we saw her live and I really didn’t expect it. Not sure about positioning.

The third track I have queued up is For The Price of A Cup Of Tea by Belle & Sebastian. I’m sure you’ll point out that B&S reference the terracotta delight in a fair few of their songs (String Bean Jean is the first that springs to mind) but this is the most prominent.
